Curly Lights

In April I'm having a large one person exhibition in a hair salon. But not just any hair salon. Main Street Hair Salon and Dunedin Fine Art Center have for some years been showcasing area artists. The retro funky space is right downtown on Main Street next to the Pinellas Trail.

The show opens on Second Friday, April 8, 5:30-8:30 and businesses, restaurants and galleries will be open late. This will be a great venue for me to exhibit some new girlie paintings. Above is an oil on canvas titled Curly Lights.

Thirty-six Years of Fine Art

Every January the Temple Beth-El in St. Petersburg stages a high quality fine arts and crafts exhibition, Art Festival Beth-El. The three day indoor event features award winning artists from around the country, and brings out a large following of supporters and collectors.

I will be exhibiting the above mixed-media paintings in this years Festival, in addition to ten framed drawings from a series called "Animals With Attitude." The Festival opens Saturday evening, January 24, 6-10pm, Sunday, January 25, 11am-5pm, and Monday, January 26, 10am-5pm.

Temple Beth-El is located at 400 Pasadena Avenue South, St. Petersburg. 727 347-6136 http://www.templebeth-el.com/
